Little Shed, Big Difference

Sometimes the most practical support can make the biggest difference.
Thanks to Community Bank Buninyong, Yarrowee Leigh Catchment Group now has a new garden shed to store its tools and resources in one central location, making life that little bit easier for the volunteers who care for our local environment.
The shed has been erected at the City of Ballarat native nursery in Wendouree, giving the group a secure and accessible space for equipment used by its member groups across the region.
For a volunteer-run organisation, having everything in one place is a real win. It means tools are easier to find, easier to borrow and easier to put to work at planting days, working bees and environmental projects.
It has also helped strengthen Yarrowee Leigh Catchment Group’s partnership with the City of Ballarat, creating another positive outcome from a practical local investment.
Yarrowee Leigh Catchment Group Board Secretary Jess Higgins-Anderson said the support would make a meaningful difference for the group’s volunteers.
“We’re thrilled to have this shed thanks to Community Bank Buninyong. We are entirely reliant on volunteers so anything that makes it even a little bit easier to arrange a working bee and make a difference to our environment is a positive contribution", she said.
Community Bank Buninyong is proud to support local groups like Yarrowee Leigh Catchment Group, helping remove barriers for volunteers and back the people doing important work in our community.
