1,000 volunteers. 1,000 thank yous.
Behind every club, group and community event is someone giving their time for the love of it.
They rarely ask for anything in return, and most of what they do goes unnoticed. This Christmas, we want to change that.
$10K of Gold
Community Bank Buninyong is sharing up to $10,000 in Community Gold cards* to thank 1,000 volunteers across our region.
That’s a $10 card for each volunteer and ready for your group to hand out at your break-up, presentation night or last meeting of the year.
Why we’re doing this
Volunteers are what keep our local community running. Sport, emergency services, festivals, op shops, committees: none of it happens without people willing to give their time.
We’re about the same thing. As a Community Bank, our profits go back into local groups like yours. This is one more way of saying we see what you do, and we’re grateful for it.
Who can apply
Applications are open to not-for-profit community groups across the greater Buninyong and Ballarat region.
That includes sporting clubs, schools and parent groups, service clubs, emergency service volunteers, arts and cultural groups, environmental groups, and any other not-for-profit organisation that relies on volunteers.
Applications must be made by an authorised representative of your group, such as your president, secretary or another committee member.
Not sure if your group is eligible? Get in touch at partnerships@bdfsl.au
Ideas for handing them out
-
At your Christmas break-up. Call each volunteer up or leave a card at every place setting.
-
At presentation night. Add a “volunteer of the year” moment and thank the whole crew.
-
At your last meeting or training session. A small gesture to finish the year.
-
With a photo. We’d love to share the thanks. Grab a photo when you hand them out (with everyone’s OK) and send them to us.
