This impact story hails from late 2022, but was an important partnership with the Buninyong & District Community Association (BDCA) and the Ballan Chamber of Commerce. 'Eureka on the Hastings' was a pre-election forum to ensure locals were well informed before casting their votes in the State Election.
BDCA secretary Kevin Zibell said the event ensured "voters were better-informed about the candidates and what they stood for, thus enhancing the democratic process and choice of Government. Plus candidates were given a forum to engage with voters and present alternative views on key issues for Buninyong and Ballan".
Kevin reported the BDCA was very pleased with the outcome of the event. It added to a tradition of the organisation hosting pre-election forums over several years for all levels of Government.
